What is breakfast? It means literally, “breaking your nightly fast.” Unless in the wees hours, you’ve eaten too much gelato overcome with ERUPTIONS OF maple syrup.
If I eat a good breakfast, I’m stronger and can face life’s challenges that are gushing at me like a firehouse.
There are many challenges out there, and I am changing along with the world.
This blog is transforming into a full spectrum rumination of organic living through times of change.
Today it includes breakfast.
What the experts will tell you:
Eating a healthy breakfast sets the tone for your day, giving you a kickstart of energy and nutrients to get energized and focused.
But if you always seem to have the same sorts of things, then it’s a good idea for you to shake things up and try something new. In this missive, we’ll look at some of my favorite breakfast escapades that will help you make some breakfast decisions.
Roll overnight oats
If you love oats but don’t have time in the morning to make them from scratch, try making overnight oats instead.
Thickly cut steel oats require a bit of overnight warming to encourage them out of their sheath of shyness. I start them in a thick ceramic pan add boiling water with a dollop of butter and turn the heat off once the boiling has begun.
You can customize oats by adding fruits, nuts, raisins, or even savory soy sauce.
Or perhaps you make a smooth move
Superfood smoothies are an excellent choice for an energizing start to the day. They can be filled with nutrients from nature’s healthiest foods such as fruits and vegetables, nuts, and herbs or spices for added flavor. Making a superfood smoothie also takes very little time and effort- simply throw the ingredients in a blender and enjoy! You could go for exotic pineapple smoothies recipe here or stick with greens. Not only will you feel good knowing that you’re giving your body nourishing goodness, but the deliciousness of these smoothies will have you eager to reach for them every morning.
You must break an egg to get a good scramble
Softly scrambled eggs are one of the most gently—almost intimate breakfast—meals to partake In. To make them, crack and drop two organic eggs into a bowl with a swig of Dijon and a whisk of fresh organic cream and white pepper.
Beat steadily until there is firmness you can feel. Pour into hot butter—sizzle and immediately turn down the heat or even turn it off. Let them sit and don’t stir too much if you want them gently done.
Greek yogurt parfait is perfect
Organic Greek yogurt makes for a quick but satisfying meal. Start with a layer of organic Greek yogurt as your base, then top it off with fresh berries and granola for crunch. For added sweetness (without all the added sugar), drizzle some honey over top before serving—yum!
Once again, there are so many ways to top this and make it titillating and healthy.
A breakfast shared can heal morsels of your being
I’ve never had a perfect stranger arrive to whip up a caramelized onion omelet with blue eggs. And speak to me about generational trauma and healing.
That was a breakfast of remembrance—one that fills me with the hope of humanity. A hope of breaking suppositions—breaking old habits—breaking fast.
Smashing windows of miss conception through an early meal and deep transparency.
Of all the breakfasts I have had, this one was unexpected and changed my look on the serendipity of life and how we’re all connected.
