We have to remember that when we are struggling for the benefit of staying safe, improving our resilience, or just staying healthy, there’s a lot to be said for treating ourselves along the way.

A lot of people feel guilty if they do something nice for themselves. But I find there are good reasons for everyone to treat themselves well. Continue reading “You Are Important! 3 Reasons Why You Need to Treat Yourself Well”

Conventional wisdom would tell us that eating food sprayed with toxic chemicals can’t be good for us. Avoiding flesh or fruit grown without poisons seems like a much healthier alternative.

Now a groundbreaking study led by researchers at UC Berkeley, UC San Francisco and Friends of the Earth (FOE) reveals the benefits of an all-organic diet. The study, “Organic Diet Intervention Significantly Reduces Urinary Pesticide Levels in U.S. Children and Adults” found that eating organic significantly reduces the amount of measurable pesticides present in our body. How to Eat Well in 2018 and Stay Within a Budget

Consuming the news these past weeks, I was served up a ration of New Year’s food columns that all revolve around saving money. The titles lazy-Susan through my newsfeed: “5 Ways to Stop Blowing your Budget on Food” or “How to Save Money on Groceries every Month.”

Is saving money the ultimate goal to eating? Continue reading “How to Eat Well in 2018 and Stay Within a Budget”
